Thanks to all who joined us!
Only through collaboration can we create sustainable change surrounding domestic violence and sexual abuse worldwide. We thank you for your commitment and continued support of Unsilenced Voices! The fundraising event in July was a huge success: through your generosity, we raised over $65,000 to continue serving in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and America! Members of the NFL Alumni Association were in attendance, including Jackson Crisp and Morlon Greenwood. Sports agent and philanthropist Leigh Steinberg delivered the keynote address, and event sponsor Collin Plume of Noble Gold Investments gave a moving speech about domestic violence being gravely represented in a movie about Tina Turner, depicting the moment of courage to leave as the inspiration to help. Silent and live auctions sold items like LA Dodgers tickets, lavish cocktail parties, and admission to Leigh Steinberg’s famous Super Bowl party. Guests enjoyed dinner, open bar, and dancing til late! It was a fun and meaningful way for our community to come together in person.
Again, we gratefully thank our sponsors My Digital Money, Upstate Coin & Gold, and JetSet Token, who is minting NFTs of the artwork made by our survivors in Sierra Leone. We also thank RayCo Media for co-organizing and promoting the event, and the Braemar Country Club in Tarzana for hosting us. Cheers!
